If the answer is yes to any of these, Critical Project Management (cPM) is the scheduling software for you! Fully Loaded cPM is a full blown scheduling tool with all the standard features, without any of the headache! cPM uses a method known as "project scheduling analysis" to create the job's critical path. The critical path is the heart and soul of any scheduling piece because it plots the quickest, most efficient way to complete a job. This path will be represented by bar charts, illustrating the order in which activities must be completed. cPM is loaded with all standard features as well as many other bells and whistles courtesy of CDCI! Views- With cPM's powerful sort and filter capabilities, any set of activities can easily be isolated for evaluation, allowing you to view general information or drill down to specific details. Plug Dates- If your job requires a specific activity to be completed on a certain day you can plug this activity. By doing this, you tell cPM this activity can be completed no earlier or later than the date you choose. Multiple calendars -This feature allows you to plan activites according to your schedule. cPM can create a schedule based on a 5 or 7 day work week and allows you to eliminate days you will not be working, such as holidays. Unlike other scheduling pieces, cPM does not require a scheduling guru to take advantage of this powerful software. You are only asked to enter three fields of information then cPM does the rest! Activities - These are necessary for completing a job and can be duplicated for future schedules, saving you time. Duration- The time necessary to complete each of these activities will be determined by you. Logic - The sequence of activities is comprised of predecessors and successors, which will also be determined by you. Predecessors are activities scheduled before another activity. Successors are activities scheduled after another activity. Once this information is entered you can sit back and watch cPM work its magic. cPM will create schedules for you and your subcontractors, giving you complete control of the job from start to finish! Staying Informed Once the information is entered and the job is under way, you can choose how you want to track the progress of your job. You can monitor progress as a function of percentage complete, number of days remaining or monies spent. These all keep you constantly informed on every aspect of the job, allowing you to make necessary changes at any point during the job. Add an activity- Activities can easily be added to a job as needed. Delete an activity- If a particular activity is no longer necessary, simply remove it and cPM will adjust the schedule accordingly. Revise an activity- When changes in a job occur, merely revise the activites and cPM will revise the schedule. These changes are all very simple to make and allow you the flexibility needed during the course of a job. After changes are made the schedule is updated, meanwhile the actual job has not missed a beat! Information in the PALM of your hand The best part of cPM is its complete compatibility with all Palm OS and Pocket PC platforms! Sure cPM can easily function in a desktop or Web environment but the true utility comes when this tool is used in the field. This allows you to reduce the amount of time spent in the office without reducing the amount of information you have access to. And don't worry, loading cPM on your handheld as simple as pressing a button. While in the field you can view a full list of vendors, status of a job and the amount of money already spent. Upon inspection, simply enter progress in your handheld and let cPM do the rest. It will analyze the new input and give you updated job costs and schedules. Six degrees of Integration cPM can work just fine as a stand-alone piece however; like any successful team cPM works best with a supporting cast. Like all of our software, cPM can fully integrate with Basic Builder and Profit Builder Millennium as well as Bid Team to create a continous flow of information. With this flow of information comes total control over the job's progress and costs from start to finish!
