Over budget warning keeps costs
in line
From time to time, costs go over
budget.
Most cost control programs tell
you to print
a budget variance report and
review it. Basic
Builder informs you when you
enter the invoice
so you can sort out what is going
on. Most
over budget conditions come from
two sources:
1. The cost is charged to the
wrong job or
cost code; funds are budgeted,
it is just
that they are somewhere else.
2. The sub or supplier has overcharged
you.
Your invoice was written at retail
instead
of the agreed upon price. Either way, Basic Builder tells you how much
you budgeted and how much you already spent:
