CDCI Introduces Job2Date
Internet Communications
Software
for the Building Industry
|
ATLANTA (June 1, 1999) - Construction Data
Control, Inc. (CDC I), the nation's leading
designer and developer of construction management
software, is proud to introduce Job2Date, an exciting new tool that allows builders
to harness the power and convenience of the
Internet to manage their business and communicate
with their customers.
Job2Date is a web-enabled data management system
that makes it easy to organize, store, update
and retrieve project information on a job-by-job
basis, from floor plans to purchase orders
and cost reports. This cost information is
uploaded nightly to a database on CDCI's
secure server, providing on-demand reporting
and encrypted selective access for customers,
subcontractors and other authorized individuals.
Job2Date provides builders with documentation of every
step of the construction process, including
cost variances, requested actions or changes,
and any correspondence they have with their
homebuyer. Should a dispute arise, the builder
can readily refer to the job information
stored on the server to support his position
or claim. And by giving consumers the ability
to track the progress of their new home,
builders can make their buyers more aware
of their responsibilities during the construction
process.
"With Job2Date, builders can empower their homebuyers,
employees and subcontractors to directly
access the information they need to make
decisions during the construction process,
'explains John Geoffroy, president of CDCI.
"So builders can spend less time responding
to requests for construction and cost updates
and more time managing their company."
Unlike other data management software, Job2Date's revolutionary design offers builders the
unique capability to generate real-time reports
on demand from wherever they happen to be.
By consolidating all the relevant data about
a job and providing instant access on-line,
Job2Date lets a builder use Internet technology to
streamline their business operations, improve
their level of customer service, and increase
their company's sales.
By posting the information on CDCI's secure
central server, builders can use Job2Date to provide a homebuyer with a series of
wall color options or share a purchase order
with their superintendent. Authorized users
can access construction updates, view site
photos and make inquiries via internet postings.
Financial documents can be modified and shared
with a lender by simply posting them online.
And subcontractors can view the latest construction
specifications and production schedules as
soon as they are available.
"By putting cutting-edge technology
right at their fingertips, Job2Date allows small- and mid-volume builders to
enjoy many of the competitive service advantages
of their larger competitors," says Geoffroy.
"Consequently, this software will enable
builders of all sizes to enhance their company
image and increase their profitability."
Job2Date will revolutionize the way builders manage
their business and communicate with their
customers, suppliers and contractors. It
can dramatically reduce the number of phone
calls, voice messages and faxes that builders
receive and help them consolidate all job
documentation and inquiries in a central
location that can be accessed from anywhere
in the world via the Internet.
